May 21st – May24th, the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience (NOWFE for short) is hitting New Orleans, bringing with it some of the top names in the culinary world. This year marks the festival’s 22nd year being held in New Orleans, and it has quickly grown to be one of the premiere events the city hosts all year. No time is more pleasant in NOLA than the spring, and no fest is more delicious than the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience.
Serving as the headquarter hotel for this year’s New Orleans Wine and Food Experience, the Hotel Monteleone is pleased to serve as your command center for all things NOWFE. This year, we’re excited to add to the festivities of the Royal Street Stroll that takes place on Thursday, May 22nd.
The Hotel Monteleone is proud to present Robin Barnes in celebration of the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience Royal Street Stroll. Known as the songbird of New Orleans, Robin Barnes is a regular featured performer at the Hotel Monteleone’s Carousel Lounge. Ms. Barnes will be set up at the hotel’s Royal Street entrance, 214 Royal Street, in the heart of the French Quarter from 4:30-7pm. The performance at the Hotel Monteleone is open to the public; however, patrons wishing to enter the Royal Street Stroll at either the 900 or 400 block of Royal St. will need to visit www.nowfe.com to purchase a ticket.
During the event, you’ll also catch Chef Randy Buck’s special dish, Butter Poached Grouper and Shrimp (Sous Vide), Charred Fennel, Jicama Root, Cucumber Noodles with White Honey and Chamomile Gelee, for the Grand Tasting on Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th.
