French Quarter Shopping

Our location in the French Quarter provides our guests with prime access to incredible holiday shopping opportunities. On foot, you’ll be able to visit several of the most sought-after shops in the city, all while admiring the beautiful architecture and festive holiday décor of the French Quarter.

Step out of our front doors, and you’ll be on Royal Street, lined with upscale antique shops, interesting art galleries, and funky clothing boutiques.

Locally-owned clothing boutique Trashy Diva specializes in retro-inspired looks for women. Head to their dress shop (537 Royal St.) for a vintage-inspired look while sipping classic cocktails at The Carousel Bar & Lounge. If you’re looking for locally designed New Orleans gifts, check out Fleurty Girl at 617 Chartres St. Fleurty Girl has an assortment of fun, New Orleans-themed apparel and home accessory options for everyone in your family. Or check out the quirky New Orleans graphic tees, hats, and enamel pins at Dirty Coast Press (713 Royal St.). If you’re looking for local art to take a piece of New Orleans home with you, look no further than Le Jardin, pictured and tucked into the 612 Royal St. courtyard.

There are plenty of big box options in the French Quarter as well. Head to H&M (418 N Peters St.) for clothing and accessories for men, women, and children, plus housewares. Their N. Peters Street neighbors? Vans, Urban Outfitters, and Sephora.

Downtown & CBD Shopping

The nearby downtown and CBD neighborhoods offer plenty of shopping opportunities. Head to The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk to browse outlets from Nordstrom Rack, Gap, Coach, Neiman Marcus Last Call, and more.

Downtown also houses The Shops at Canal Place. You’ll find a mix of national stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, J.Crew, and Anthropologie alongside local New Orleans shops like Mignon Faget and Jean Therapy. Canal Place also features a movie theater with in-seat meal service — who needs dinner and a movie when you can have dinner in a movie?

Are you looking for an only-in-New-Orleans shopping experience? Stop by Meyer The Hatter on St. Charles Ave. to get outfitted by one of the country’s oldest and largest hat stores. This expansive store has been in business since 1894.

While exploring this downtown neighborhood, visit the new South Market District, where you’ll find independently owned shops like Hattie Sparks and DNO Downtown, alongside must-try restaurants like Willa Jean.

Uptown & Magazine Street Shopping

The Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans features lots of ways to shop for unique souvenirs and gifts. As you explore the extensive variety of shopping along Magazine Street, you’ll have the chance to pop into designer consignment haven Swap Boutique (3822 Magazine St.) or head a few blocks down to Lionheart Prints (3312 Magazine St.) and peruse their hilarious gift card section and art print offerings.

Continue down Magazine and check out the upscale women’s clothing store, Pilot / Powell (3901 Magazine St.). If you want to spoil the ladies in your life, check out Sotre (3909 Magazine St.) for gifts galore. There’s also the locally-owned fitness apparel brand tasc Performance (4308 Magazine St.), which specializes in bamboo-based workout clothes.

Venture further uptown towards the Riverbend area and explore the locally owned shops along Maple Street. This off-the-beaten-path area features original Louisiana-inspired jewelry from Sarah Ott (7808 Maple St.) and stylish women’s looks at Gae-Tana’s (7732 Maple St.).

And now, we relax!
