The fun and classic atmosphere of Rock N’ Bowl is deep with history and charm! Originally called Mid City Lanes, New Orleans’ oldest center opened in 1941 and was originally located across the street from Pelican Stadium. In 1958, after Pelican Stadium was no longer, several larger and more modern bowling centers began to open up in the surrounding area. Mid City lanes faced monetary challenges and lack of patrons until a change in ownership occurred in 1988. Mr. Blancher, a life-long New Orleanian defied all expectations and turned Mid City Lanes into its current beautiful state.
Rock N’ Bowl earned its name through the constant live music performances that are held right next to the bowling alleys. Not considered a serious’ bowling alley, Rock N’ Bowl combines a unique New Orleans experience with the classic game of bowling to provide enough fun for anyone. Of course there is also food to be had at Rock N’ Bowl including such New Orleans’ delicacies as fried alligator sausage. Along with regular crowds numbering several hundred (much more during Mardi Gras and other holidays), this one of a kind bowling center attracts filmmakers and has been featured in music videos, and Miller Beer commercial.
Rock N’ Bowl has something for everyone whether it’s just bowling, enjoying live music, or both at the same time. Come visit Rock N’ Bowl Tuesday-Saturday and enjoy the festive environment that you can’t find anywhere else!

I was their many years ago and LOVED it. Had a live cajun band and danced all night with locals. So one thing I got their was a turquoise Rock and Bowl bowling shirt with a name sewed on it! I LOVED that shirt but lost it some years ago. Do you still make them? Can I get one mail ordered??
Keeping my fingers crossed
