Spring Fiesta in the French Quarter 2011
Spring Fiesta is a special time when New Orleans opens its hearts and homes to the visitors from all over the world in a celebration of history. This cultural event invites exploration of some of New Orleans’ fine homes, enchanting courtyards and elegant gardens.
Locals and visitors are invited to tour magnificent French Quarter homes and patios, take a French Quarter walking tour, and experience the majesty of the presentation of the Spring Fiesta Queen in Jackson Square.
A total of 20 homes not usually open to the public will be part of this year’s tours. Experience the grandeur of the past as you walk through these Garden District, French Quarter, and Uptown homes.
The weekend also features the “Night in Old New Orleans” parade, one of the favorite local traditions, where horse-drawn carriages make their way through the Vieux Carre.
Visitors also have the option of attending a brunch at Broussard’s Restaurant, one of the most elegant dining experiences in the city.
