On Wednesday, December 15th 2010 Ursuline Kindergarten will be performing in the Hotel Monteleone lobby at 11:00am.

Ursuline Academy’s elementary school is dedicated to affording each student an opportunity for academic excellence. On Thursday, December 9th the St. Phillip Neri School Children’s Choir will be performing in the Hotel Monteleone lobby at 12:00pm.

On Thursday, December 9th 2010 the St. Ann School Children’s Choir will be performing in the Hotel Monteleone lobby at 10:30am.

St. Ann School began in 1972 with Play School, Pre-School and Kindergarten-aged children. In 1975, the first building was opened to first grade and one of the portable buildings continued to be used for the Kindergarten classes. In July of 1976, the Salesian Sisters came to staff the school, which expanded to serve children from Kindergarten to Fourth Grade. Each year after that, another grade level was added until the school reached the eighth grade. In June 1994, the sisters had to withdraw from St. Ann School.

When the school began, there was a total of about 200 students. Now the enrollment numbers more than 900. Therefore, new buildings were constructed to meet the expansion of the school population. With a greater number of students, more programs were added to serve the needs of the children.

On Thursday, December 2nd the St. Anthony of Padua Children’s Choir will be performing in the Hotel Monteleone lobby at 12:00pm.

St. Anthony of Padua School, staffed by Dominican Fathers and Brothers and administered under the direction of the Dominican Sisters, Congregation of Mary, is a Catholic parish school serving the children of its own parish and neighboring parishes. Because of its strategic location, it also serves students whose parents work in the city but live in outlying neighborhoods. The Dominican emblem VERITAS, emblazoned on the school uniform, summarizes the school’s identity and purpose, the search for truth.
