French Quarter Festival 2014

French Quarter Fest kicks off April 10 and includes four fabulous days of events taking place all throughout the French Quarter. This neighborhood celebration has been going on for more than 30 years and is known as New Orleans’ largest free festival. Admission to the festival is free of charge, inviting music fans of all ages to come and go as they please. The festival area extends across the French Quarter, from Bourbon Street to the Mississippi Riverfront. French Quarter Fest 2014: Music This year’s French Quarter Festival invites over 80 musicians to 20 different stages strategically located throughout the French Quarter. This year’s lineup does not disappoint, featuring a headlining appearance from legendary Dr. John for the first time since 1987. Voodoo Music Experience 2013 in New Orleans

It’s about halfway through September, which means a big question must already be on your mind: what are the best Halloween costume ideas this year? Well, maybe we’re not all there yet, but the holiday is fast approaching and our New Orleans hotel never comes up short as the perfect place to spend the spooky holiday. One of the favorite and highly-anticipated New Orleans events for Halloween is the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, a three-day long festival in City Park Festival Grounds celebrating some of today’s top music and art. This year’s Voodoo Music Experience takes place after official Halloween, from November 1-3.
