The weather is gorgeous, the windows are open, and plenty of incredible festivals make their debut, offering a chance to soak up even more of the wonderful fall weather. In order to help you plan your fall visit to the Big Easy, here is preview of the upcoming fall festivals in New Orleans set for autumn 2016: Eat Up: New Orleans Festivals for Foodies New Orleans is a mecca for food lovers, and there’s no better time to indulge and imbibe than in the fall. First up is the Louisiana Seafood Festival (September 2-4), a family-friendly event welcoming all to celebrate seafood, one of Louisiana’s favorite delicacies! The event is held in City Park and features live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts and many more fun activities. If you are a lover of everything and anything seafood, whether it’s oysters, crawfish, or shrimp – this is the festival for you. Two brand-new food-themed festivals make their debut this fall in New Orleans: the Fried Chicken Festival (September 25) and Beignet Fest (October 8). Meanwhile, local favorite Oak Street Po-Boy Festival (October 23) moves a month earlier than its traditional date to take advantage of October’s beautiful weather. Just blocks away from the Hotel Monteleone, enjoy the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival (October 14-16) at Lafayette Square in the CBD.
