Don’t Miss These Summer Events in New Orleans!

With long, warm days in NOLA on the horizon and special summer room rates in effect, we wanted to provide a snapshot of the many great events offering summer fun in New Orleans during the next few months. Spend your days basking in the sun near our rooftop pool, with poolside drink and food service available at Acqua Bella. Then head down to relax and rejuvenate at Spa Aria, a cozy retreat tucked within the exquisite Hotel Monteleone. If you really must head outside of the Hotel Monteleone doors, then we recommend the following events coming to the Big Easy this summer: May 2016 Two favorite festivals among locals happen in May along the banks of beautiful Bayou St. John. Bayou Boogaloo Music Festival (May 20-22), now in its 11th year, offers free admission and features 4 stages of live music, plus local artisans, food booths and other activities. Greek Fest (May 27-29) is a celebration of Hellenic culture, with live music and traditional dance performances, plus plenty traditional Greek food, wine and desserts. The 23rd New Orleans Wine and Food Experience (May 26-29) takes place during Memorial Day weekend. This culinary event is a foodie’s dream, with hands-on educational activities, seminars and tasting events galore. June 2016 Festival season stretches into summer as New Orleanians host celebrations of favorite Southern foods like fresh Gulf oysters and Creole tomatoes. The New Orleans Oyster Festival (June 4-5) and French Market Creole Tomato Festival (June 11-12) are free and open to the public, with plenty of delicious food available for purchase.
