How To Do the Holidays in New Orleans

Travelers walk through the Lobby of Hotel Monteleone

Not to toot our trumpet, but we do the holidays like no other hotel in the city. Since we don’t make these statements lightly, we’ve put together a list of must-see things you’ve got to do while you’re here. Pro Tip: We suggest bookmarking this page now. You’ll want to refer back to it later!

Live Entertainment at The Carousel Bar & Lounge
‘Tis the Season for Listening To Good Music

During December, our very own Carousel Bar & Lounge has lined up some incredible performances guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit. Imagine wrapping up a long day of exploring America’s most European city by listening to the James Martin Band, the talented Lena Prima & Band, or the Steve Masacowski Trio. All December, expect to see School Choir performing in our sparkling lobby. Two special cocktails are available this December: a Royale 214 and a Holiday Side Car. See our extensive drink menu.

December 10th Running Of The Santas
Got a Santa Suit? Got Running Shoes? Then This Race Is For You!
If you ever needed a reason to buy a Santa Suit, here it is. The race starts at 6pm where the Santas will run from the South Pole, Mannings’ Bar to the North Pole, Generations Hall. The distance is only a few blocks, so don’t worry, it’s short, fun, and festive. Plus, a portion of the proceeds benefits “That Others May Live.”

This is, by far, one of the most magical holiday traditions the city has to offer. There’s just something wonderful about so many people gathering together to sing carols in front of Saint Louis Cathedral, the most iconic church in the city, that brings the meaning of the holidays into focus. And for us, we think the holidays are all about slowing down and spending quality time with the people who mean the most – family and friends.

December 19th Jazz Brunch With Santa
Have Brunch With The Big Man At Court Of Two Sisters
Santa does chimneys, sleighs, and brunch. Who wants to enjoy an incredible meal at the historic Court of Two Sisters with Santa? Everyone! Be sure to make a reservation as this event books up fast.

Reserve a table at Criollo today and indulge in a special 4-course prix-fixe menu every Thursday-Monday. You and your taste buds won’t regret it.

December 17th At The Saenger
