The 2020 celebration will be hosted by Billy Porter as the city welcomes the New Year with a joyful shindig in the heart of the French Quarter – just a few blocks from our historic hotel!
This annual event takes place at the historic Jax Brewery and will feature big-name guests and performances as the night leads up to the annual dropping of New Orleans’ beloved Fleur de Lis.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the River
The fireworks show that lights up the Mississippi Riverfront is a beloved NOLA tradition. It’s a family-friendly way to welcome 2020 with a dazzling, breathtaking display!
You can catch the light show over the river from a variety of different vantage points, and they’re all just steps from our door. For convenience, we suggest heading to Jax Brewery on Decatur Street near Jackson Square — anywhere around that area will offer gorgeous views of this annual tradition.
Try to get there early, too, as crowds will start to form in the Square that afternoon!
