It’s about halfway through September, which means a big question must already be on your mind: what are the best Halloween costume ideas this year? Well, maybe we’re not all there yet, but the holiday is fast approaching and our New Orleans hotel never comes up short as the perfect place to spend the spooky holiday.
One of the favorite and highly-anticipated New Orleans events for Halloween is the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, a three-day long festival in City Park Festival Grounds celebrating some of today’s top music and art. This year’s Voodoo Music Experience takes place after official Halloween, from November 1-3. The New Orleans music festival lets everyone show a different side, as many festival-goers are dressed in full-fledged Halloween costumes.
The 2013 Voodoo Music Experience Lineup Includes:
Nine Inch Nails
Mackelemore & Ryan Lewis
The Gaslight Anthem
Matt & Kim
Preservation Hall Jazz Band
New Found Glory
+ many, many more!
The daily lineup has been released with Friday’s top acts including Pearl Jam, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Calvin Harris. Saturday’s top acts include Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Afrojack, and Big Gigantic. Sunday’s top acts include The Cure, Bassnectar, Kid Rock, and Matt & Kim.
Voodoo Music Experience Tickets
Currently, Voodoo Music Experience is only selling general admission, VIP, and artist credentials for the entire weekend. If art is more your taste than music, the 2013 Voodoo Music Experience will present interactive art installations throughout City Park. The multi-sensory installations experiment with electronic media and are created with sustainable and reusable materials.
For those who can’t make it to New Orleans for Voodoo Music Experience, the entire month of October is a great time to head to the Big Easy, and stay in one of the most haunted hotels in New Orleans, if not the world: the Hotel Monteleone!
